Are you or someone you know in the Greater Toronto Area, age 65-85, and interested in singing with others in 2026, but not sure how to get started?
Researchers from SingWell and Toronto Metropolitan University’s SMART Lab are studying a new virtual group singing program where you can learn, connect, and sing together from home.
ABOUT THE STUDY
"Assessing the biopsychosocial benefits of low-latency virtual group singing"
- 8-week program delivered online
- 4 weeks of music discussions and education, and 4 weeks of guided group singing
- 60 minute sessions
- Thursdays or Sundays at 7pm starting January 22, 2026
- No travel required — all you need is a computer or laptop.
Research includes:
- Questionnaires
- Saliva collection (self collected)
Your participation will help us to understand the positive effects of virtual group singing.
